Just a quick plug for a great band that you must check out if you've never heard them, or haven't heard them in a while...
Virginia Coalition is a band I first heard a while ago thanks to Handpicked Records, the great pair of compilations released by Hootie and the Blowfish that showcased relatively unknown or little known talent. VACO blew me away the first time I heard them and yesterday I began listening to them again. I was once again blown away by the songwriting, the powerful vocals, and this overall incredible band. Their latest release Home This Year may be their best work yet, and it's well worth checking out.
You won't regret heading over to their site and listening to their new record, trust me.
